What is Naruto Eledia?
Naruto Eledia is a fan-based manga by SeungYoon "Steve" Ok (osy057) of the original story Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto. It is just a work of a fan, nothing more.
What is "Eledia"?
Eledia is the set of 5 legendary elemental weapons. More details will be revealed in the future. The word "Eledia" came from combining the words "element" and "gladius" which means "sword" in Latin. I thought the plural form of gladius was gladia, so that's where Eledia came from. When I realized that the plural form was actually gladii, it was already too late to change. Plus Eledia sounds better than Eledii.
What happened since the original Naruto time period?
The story of Naruto Eledia takes place 100 years after Naruto's time. The divided nations are at truce thanks to Naruto’s unavoidable influence. Many trades of customs have been made since then. The efficient jounin jackets and the 3-person-team system from the Hidden Leaf became quite popular among the ninja villages. Strange creatures called “ghosts” started appearing shortly after Naruto's death. Rebellious ninja groups have been rising up in the smaller ninja villages due to lack of economical support. INS system is developed to strengthen the international relations.
What is INS?
The International Ninja Squad (INS) is a system developed by the authorities of the ninja villages to strengthen their international relations. It is a team of 5 jounins, each from different villages. The members are chosen through a 3-part exam that is held once every 4 years, and only 2 teams form in each exam. Entrance is voluntary among all jounins, but only the elite among elites make it into the team. They are the role models for younger generation of ninja; the celebrities of the ninja world. They are given the toughest missions.
What are Ghosts?
Ghosts are strange, monstrous creatures that have been appearing randomly over 100 years. Their origin is uncertain, but there are theories that they are some sort of summoned monsters because they seem to live on chakra, and they disappear leaving nothing but a cloud of smoke when they die. Their only food is chakra, and they grow independently, and can reproduce asexually like a living organism. Their blue horns are the concentration of their chakra. Once it is cut, the chakra is released, and the ghost dies. They have been evolving throughout the years. Their threat has increased dramatically.
What is Boshoku?
Boshoku is the main antagonist group of the story, like the Akatsuki in Naruto. The Boshoku has a lot of resemblances with the fallen Akatsuki. More details will be revealed in the future. Akatsuki means "dawn" and Boshoku means "dusk."
Will there be appearances of any original Naruto characters?
No, the original Naruto characters won't be making appearance, unless I decide to make alter the storyline. Mainly because I don't know what Masashi Kishimoto will do with all of them in the original Naruto. Plus I didn't want to deal with all the pairings and such. Too troublesome.There will be, however, some descendents of the original Naruto characters. I wonder who???
Will there be appearances of bijuu (tailed beasts)?
No, because I don't know what Masashi Kishimoto will do with them in the original Naruto. He might kill them all off. Who knows?
Will there be any bloodline limits?
Absolutely. What is Naruto fan-manga without the Sharingan!? Yes, the Uchiha Clan is revived in Naruto Eledia by Sasuke. If Masashi Kishimoto decides to kill off Sasuke in the original Naruto, even then we will assume that in Naruto Eledia, Sasuke lived to revive the clan. There are also other bloodline limits. For example, the Aokawa Clan.
Will there be any romance?
You bet your pickle there's romance! Complicated ones! Pairings are a big part of the Naruto world.
How did the story of Naruto Eledia come about?
One day I thought it'd be fun to design my own Naruto fan characters. But I couldn't decide which village I liked the most, so I just made a team with ninjas from all 5 main villages. The story about them was developed afterwards. Do I regret making so many characters? ...Definitely maybe.
