Name: Seung Yoon "Steve" Ok Code Name: osy057 Date of Birth: August 7, 1989 Hometown: Busan, S. Korea Current Residence: Texas, USA Current Occupation: College Student (Baylor University) Roles in Naruto Eledia: Artist, Story Writer Website(s): http://osy057.deviantart.com About: I've always heard compliments for my drawings ever since I was little. I had a better grasp at art than most of my peers. I started drawing anime around 3rd grade when I got into the Dragonball series. I've drawn stuff from other animated shows before then, but that's when I didn't grasp the concept of anime. I remember watching Gatchaman series religiously when I was in pre-school, but that's as far as I can go back. The first manga I've ever read is One Piece in 5th grade, which is still my favorite manga to this day. I saw some kid reading it in a bus. It was the part where Luffy was using Gum Gum Net against Arlong, and I thought, "Whoa. That's awesome..." When I first saw Naruto, I didn't think it was anything good. But then my friend got me into it in 10th grade by forcing me to watch episode 48 Rock Lee vs Gaara. I fell in love instantly. Rock Lee FTW. I couldn't watch all the 100-or-so episodes, so I started reading the manga and got greatly influneced by the art style. Since then, I've been drawing a lot of Naruto fan arts. My friend who got me into Naruto stopped watching Naruto after the Naruto vs Sasuke fight. Stupid fillers. Naruto Eledia is my first ever manga project. I have attempted to make a manga few times in the past but never was able to stick with it. Plus the stories weren't as solid as this one. Why a fanmanga and not an original manga? A fanmanga was easier to develop since I didn't have to come up with all the basic background information (which is really the hardest part). And since this is my first project, I thought I'd start off with something easy, and yet able to grab many people's interest. Naruto has a gigantic fan base, and a great foundation to base the fanmanga on. Two birds in one stone. Will I ever become a manga artist? Only time will tell... |
